Summary of the Genetic Disorder and Symptoms:
According to the Autism Speaks Organization, Autism is the difficulty in communicating with people and behavior that is repeated (“How is Autism Treated”). This can include communication with friends, family, and teachers (“How is Autism Treated”). A symptom can include mood disorder, such as depression(“How is Autism Treated”). It can also cause language impairments, such as a learning disorder (“How is Autism Treated”). Finally, it can cause social deficits, including being socially awkward (“How is Autism Treated”).

Treatments:
According to Autism Speaks, a therapist can help a patient with autism(“How is Autism Treated”). People with autism commonly get a therapist. Some of the treatments to help are speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and/or the care of a neurologist (“How is Autism Treated”). They can also use social workers and/or a pediatrician who specialize in the treatment. According to Autism Speaks, “Occupational therapy or speech and language therapy are often integrated into one of the intensive therapy programs describe here as core symptom therapy.” (“How is Autism Treated”).
Mode of Genetic Inheritance:
According to Broad Institute, random mutations can happen ("New Research Inherited Causes Of Autism"). Past relatives with autism can increase the chance of kids having autism. It can be treated with therapy ("New Research Inherited Causes Of Autism") .Also according to Verywellhealth, autism can be diagnosed later in life ("Know More. Feel Better"). But it is more common as a child to have autism ("Know More. Feel Better"). Just having a child with autism can increase the chance of having an autistic child ("Know More. Feel Better"). According to Healthline Media Company the average life expectancy of an autistic is about 54 years old (“Medical Information and Health Advice You Can Trust”).

How common is the Genetic Disorder:
According to Autism Science Foundation about 1 in 68 children living in the U.S. have been identified with Autism. This rate remains the same as of 2014, with the old data the new estimate is barely 30% higher than the old estimate which was 1 out of 88 children are diagnosed or born with autism (“How Common Is Autism”). Also according to Autism Speaks (“Frequently Asked Questions”) research shows that autism is four out of five times more common to occur more in boys than in girls.
The research also shows that 1 out of 42 and 1 out of 189 girls are diagnosed with autism. Autism effects millions of people around the world.

3 Current Research Project:
From Strong Institute Organization, one case study for autism is using a REI tape (“Autism Case Studies”). For an age 11, male patient, after a month with using the recording, he seems to be more flexible, and advocates for himself ("Autism Case Studies"Autism Case Studies"). A REI tape features music such as drums ("Autism Case Studies"). A case study from Advanced Brain Technologies is a “Listening Program”. The Listening Program is when the patient puts on headphones and listens to something entertaining 15 mins a day, five days a week, for four months (“Autism Case Studies - Autism Spectrum Disorder”). Half way through an age 6’s cycles, his social skills improved (“Autism Case Studies - Autism Spectrum Disorder”). The last case study comes from Glenn Weybright, M.S. The case study is Speech-Therapy. Speech-Therapy helps you speak more clearly.
